Royce on St Kilda Road

Melbourne

The Royce occupies a Moorish-inspired building from the late 1920s. Originally a Rolls-Royce showroom, it now has 100 rooms with a mix of period and modern features and a range of layouts. All are comfortable – with good bedding, marble bathrooms and large plasma TVs – if somewhat lacklustre. Bonus points for the Kevin Murphy toiletries and chocolate freckle on the bed.

Close to the Botanic Gardens with a gym, a restaurant and a bar onsite.
