This luxury B&B occupies a restored 19th-century weatherboard church that was relocated from Melbourne a few years back. The lavish suites feature classical French and Italian decor, which may be too elaborate for some tastes, but its vaulted ceilings are lovely, as are the public areas looking out to the bucolic farmland surrounds. There's a two-night minimum stay.
Food and wine are a big part of the experience, with communal dinners cooked up by hosts Peter and Mary using ingredients sourced from the kitchen garden and wine grown in the property's vineyards. Church House is set on 8 hectares of land 6km outside Fish Creek on the road to Wilsons Promontory.
