The best of Ballarat's Victorian-era pubs was so named after it hosted the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Edinburgh, as well as literary royalty: Mark Twain. It’s a wonderful building full of old-fashioned opulence – including a grand staircase and an elegant 1930s lift – and the rooms have been beautifully refurbished with king beds, heritage furnishings and marble bathrooms.
