This remote and characterful 1876 pub – it basically is the township of Weldborough – has basic rooms, but its true treats are the park-like camping area (with hot showers) out the back and the exhaustive selection of Tasmanian craft beers and ciders. The kitchen does decent pub grub (mains $22 to $34).
The hotel is right at the base of the Blue Tier mountain-bike trail and near the start of the Atlas trail, so the beer garden can look like a peloton at lunchtime.
