Launcestonians once sheltered beneath the umbrellas made here by R Shott & Sons from 1921. A rare example of an intact early 20th-century store, complete with its original till and blackwood display cases, it exhibits old brollies (dating as far back as 1850) and sells new brollies, as well as a host of other Tassie products.
These days it suitably doubles as the National Trust information centre.
