Coogee Pavilion

Sydney

With numerous indoor and outdoor bars and restaurants, and a large kids' play area, this cavernous complex packs them in, especially at weekends. The ground floor feels a bit like a food court, but the middle level has three more intimate venues, and the adults-only rooftop has sweeping views. Built in 1887, the building originally housed an aquarium and swimming pools.
