No sign of any roses in the garden of this restored 1870s whitewashed pug-and-pine miner's cottage on Blinman's main street – it's far too hot and dry here for that kind of indulgence. Still, inside it's all perfectly comfortable, with two bedrooms, a wood heater (yes, cold winters!) and a full kitchen. BBQ terrace out the back.
