Just south of Stanthorpe is this award-winning, family-run microbrewery. Occupying a humble tin shed scattered with communal tables and a fireplace, its small-batch beers (made using local hops) are listed above the bar. Slurp on anything from German pilsner to English brown ale, offered individually or as part of a tasting paddle ($12 for three beers, $24 for six beers).
Brass Monkey's other creations include a cider, ginger beer and alcoholic sarsaparilla, while its limited choice of bites include a stout-soaked burger and the family's celebrated Bratwurst sausage.
