Apollonian Hotel

Sunshine Coast

Framed by palms, jacarandas and quandong trees, this atmospheric pub – complete with shady verandahs and a beautifully preserved interior – dates back to the late 19th century. Moved here from its original Gympie location in 1985, the place is famous for its Sunday spit-roast lunch (bookings essential; adult/child $25/15), accompanied by live blues, bluegrass or jazz.

Local jam sessions run every second Friday from 6pm.
