You can cheer both AFL football and interstate and international cricket at the Gabba in Woolloongabba, south of Kangaroo Point. If you’re new to cricket, try to get along to a Twenty20 (T20) match, which sees the game in its most explosive form. The cricket season runs from late September to March; the football from late March to September.

Numerous city buses will get you here; jump off at the Woolloongabba Bus Station.
