Madame Rouge

Fortitude Valley

Dark and sexy, Madame Rouge sets a very Parisian scene with red-velvet curtains, tasselled table lamps and Toulouse-Lautrec prints. The menu – co-designed by powerhouse chef Philip Johnson of E'cco fame – reads like a greatest hits of French gastronomy: gratinated goats-cheese souffle; slow-cooked duck leg with puy lentils and black cabbage; and crème brûlée. A beautiful, skilful ode to classic Gallic decadence.
