Tumbling Waters

South Coast NSW

About 30km north of Wollongong, Tumbling Waters is set amid palm trees at the edge of the escarpment. It's a luxurious, boutique retreat aimed at couples (no kids allowed). Rooms offer different romantic touches (cast-iron baths, mosaic-tiled bathrooms, private steam rooms) and vary greatly in price. There's a restaurant offering set menus (from $148) with views directly onto the ocean.

Often books out for weddings at weekends.
