Pebbly Beach

South Coast NSW

This campground in Murramarang National Park has 23 gravelly, unpowered sites, plus flush toilets, cold showers and barbecue facilities. It's close to a surf beach, bookended by a dramatic headland, with bird-filled bush walking trails branching off from the site. The resident kangaroos are beachgoers, so you'll likely spot them on the sand. There's no mobile-phone signal.

There's also adjacent simple cabin accommodation (from $169; two-night minimum).
