Laurence Olivier Award–winning cabaret artists Brett Haylock and Chris Chen transformed the town's languishing 1950s 'picture palace' into a vibrant community hub in 2016. There's a bright little cafe (open from 7am to 11am, closed Tuesday) and a packed weekend program of cabaret, circus, comedy, film and family-friendly entertainment.
Even if you're not in town for the entertainment, it's worth taking a peek at the gorgeously preserved and fabulously evocative mid-century north-coast architecture.
