The Ovolo group are making waves globally for their cutting-edge art hotels, and Canberra's very own is a fine example of the brand. A spectacular exterior and an equally hip interior, rooms are quirkily decorated and have all the mod cons, from rain showers to high-tech electronics. Not a lot of functionality in the space and layout for a typical business stay, but the service and quality are exceptional and the spaces encourage an informal interaction between guests. Go for the Sung room.
Reception is filled with nooks, crannies and minilibraries, and the Monster Kitchen & Bar is just as interesting.
