Hidden among cacti-dotted hills, far removed from anything resembling tourism, these six delightful casitas undoubtedly represent the island's most laid-back stay. Four colorful one-bedroom abodes (each with outdoor kitchen) comprise one complex, along with shared pool, hammock, barbecue grill and open-air gazebo. The second, more private complex features two spacious one-bedroom houses perched by a chic lounging area and pool.
Snorkel gear is provided by expat owner John Dubois, who has comprehensive knowledge of the island and its offerings. Be sure to ask him about deals on rental cars. There's a five-night minimum and you'll probably want to stay longer.
