If you are a fan of American singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen, you might like to attend a special themed party being thrown in London to celebrate his 70th birthday.
One thousand people are expected to attend the big birthday bash at the Oval Space in Bethnal Green on 21 September, including fans from the US, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Finland and elsewhere. It will run from 8pm until 3am, so fans will get to hear seven hours of non-stop Springsteen music.
The first 600 people through the door will get free £6 (€6.72) burger vouchers to use in Shake Shack, and there will also be a giant birthday card for fans to sign, bespoke lighting, photo booths and videos.
The event is part of a series called Hungry Heart, which aims to provide the ultimate nights out for fans of the Boss. Event founders Thom Elliott and Hannah Summers established Hungry Heart to cater for Springsteen's superfans who just wanted to listen to their favourite artist on a night out. The London event follows a seven-city UK and Ireland tour, and the event organisers also hosted the launch party for Springsteen’s most recent album, Western Stars.
'Hungry Heart - Springsteen's 70th Birthday' takes place from 8pm to 3am on Saturday September 21 at the Oval Space in Bethnal Green, East London. Tickets at £17.50 (€19.61) are available here. A percentage of profits goes to the Campaign to End Loneliness, as a nod to the friendships and bonds being a Springsteen fan creates.
