Maybe it’s the phase of the moon or maybe it’s Mercury in retrograde, but interest in astrology has skyrocketed over the last few years. People are consulting their sun signs for advice on everything from baby names to job searches, and travel is no exception.
Want to know your ultimate vacation destination according to your star chart? Hoping to get a little closer to the cosmos? Consider these six hotels from around the world with astrology-themed amenities.
Let your relaxation be guided by the moon
When self-care and the cosmos combine, it can make for an out-of-this-world experience. At the Waldorf Astoria spa in Cabo San Lucas, moon phase massages take their cues from the lunar cycle in order to help guests reawaken and realign their spiritual energy. Guests are served a “moon face” drink upon arrival at the spa, the ingredients of which are chosen in accordance with the current station of the moon. After a foot scrub, they can then add on a moon phase massage that is said to harness the healing powers of each distinct lunar phase – waxing, waning or full.

Billing itself as the world’s first astrology hotel, the Ultimo in Sydney, Australia takes its star signs seriously. The extra-celestial extras start at check-in, where guests receive astrologically-determined recommendations for restaurants and more, as well as a personalized “do not disturb” sign. There’s an in-house astrologer that you can call on for advice and insight and the hotel also provides city guides tailored to each sign. Visitors can even book one of several “astrology packages” with extras like a detailed examination of your natal chart or a full astrology report.
Learn a little astronomy while enjoying astrology
The sleek, stylish desert retreat, Mountain Shadows outside Scottsdale, Arizona is set at the foot of Camelback Mountain, where its just-outside-the-city location makes it the perfect spot to do some stargazing. Mountain Shadows’ Cocktails Under the Cosmos program doesn’t ask guests to choose between the science of astronomy and the art of astrology. Instead, its parties, timed to coincide with astrologically significant events like super moons, include a little of everything. Attendees sip cocktails based on the current astrological sign while a local astronomy professor guides you through using a powerful telescope to explore the night sky and all its mysteries.
Sip on constellation-based cocktails
If you’re visiting Southern California and want to do a little celestial sipping, Hive & Honey Rooftop Bar at the Marriott Irvine Spectrum has you covered. Three star-inspired cocktails are designed to appeal to tastes across the astrological spectrum. Bold Leos can try the Nectar of the Gods garnished with gold cherries for a royal touch, while the Plight of a Ginuine Maiden is perfect for artistic, thoughtful Virgos. Go in the evenings when you can use one of the many stargazing apps to try to pick out the constellations that correspond to your cocktail.
Hang with the stars based on the stars
Some people come to Los Angeles to see stars, but now you can also be guided by them. In 2020, the W in Beverly Hills is launching its Zodiac Guide to LA package. They’ve collaborated with Susan Miller, popular astrologer and founder of Astrology Zone, to make sure the planets will be aligned during your stay in LA. Guests will receive a city guide based on their astrological sign, as well as a zodiac sleep mask. Even the nightly turn-down service is celestially-inspired and tailored to help each individual sign relax in their own way.
Plan a sun-sign specific vacation
If someone at the Mulia Bali asks you for your sign, they’re not flirting—they’re trying to make your trip better. At this luxury astrology hotel in Nusa Dua, Indonesia guests can plan their entire getaway based on their zodiac sign. The staff’s travel experts can book high-intensity physical activities like water sports for restless Aries rams, or an indulgent meal from a Michelin-starred chef for a Taurus who loves a touch of hedonism. For any shy Virgos who have ever been stuck on an exhausting group outing, the resort’s private villas are the ideal place to enjoy some quality “me time.” Calming activities like meditation and yoga are also available for guests born under any sign, of course.
