Areni Wine Art

Armenia

Just off Areni's main road (house 20), this family-run B&B has clean no-frills rooms built by the owner and a cute outdoor dining area. Dinner (AMD4000) includes a choice of khoravats (barbecue) with matsoon (yogurt), two salads, hot aveluk (sorrel), lavash and tea or coffee. A not-so-great homemade red wine is available, as is homemade vodka. Breakfast is typical for Armenia.
