A simple and enjoyable local eating scene can be found on the 'Paseo de la Familia,' occupying a block of Catamarca south of San Luis. Street-food stalls dole out grilled chicken, sausages and rabbit, pizza, tamales and lomitos (steak sandwiches). This is a great spot to get the full, affordable parrilla treatment, at plastic tables under a long awning.
Most stalls open from breakfast time until 3pm or so, but some are planned to open in the evenings, too.
