La Céfira

Salta

This cute hole-in-the-wall, well-lit and decorated with original art, is set a few blocks south of the center, but it's worth the walk here for the menu of house-made pasta combined with inventive ingredients including squid ink, curried pumpkin, coconut milk and poppy seeds. There are some meat and fish dishes too, such as beef stuffed with figs and sun-dried tomatoes.

The range of pasta sauces is tempting, and the wine selection is affordable and delicious.
