El Flotante

Along the Río Paraná

Set atop an old barge moored behind the port, this friendly alternative bar with river views is a fantastic place for a drink and to tap into Corrientes culture. Outside colorfully painted wooden tables overlook the masts of the yachts docked below while inside there's an events area that hosts concerts and theater. Serves local craft beer and bar food.

Getting here adds to the atmosphere: cross the car park next to the local bus terminal, push the unmarked white metal gate in the corner and follow the elevated walkways around. The empty waterside corridors make it feel like you're heading into a shootout at the end of a B-grade action movie but it's perfectly safe.
