Across from the church, this colonial adobe hacienda is also known as Casa de Isasmendi, after Salta’s last colonial governor, who lived and died here. It’s been well restored and offers handsome rooms with inviting beds, antique furniture and cane ceilings set around lovely patio spaces. It’s on the edge of the village and utterly peaceful.
There’s an overpriced but otherwise reasonable on-site restaurant (open from noon to 3pm and 7:30pm to 10:30pm).
