Tirana Backpacker Hostel

Top choice in Tirana

Albania's first-ever hostel continues to go from strength to strength. Housed in a charmingly decorated house, with a 1970s air of hazy hippy backpacker days, this superfriendly place has a funky design and an excellent location. There's always a big crew of globally wandering backpackers staying.

You'll find a large kitchen downstairs, bathrooms on each floor and air-con in two dorms. Bike hire is available for €5 per day, and there's a great bar (and a paddling pool) in the garden. The kitchen also cooks up simple all-veg dinners (250 lekë) served communal-style.
