Take in the sweeping views overlooking a water hole from your treehouse suite at this intimate lodge, just outside the park's border. You'll see loads of elephants and have the chance of spotting lions, leopards and buffaloes. The electric fence keeps you safe, and you can spy wildlife from a hide where a (floodlit at night) salt lick attracts animals up close.
Staff here are relaxed, yet professional, the food is fantastic, and there's a pool and lively bonfire at night. It's located down a sandy track 1km off the Bulawayo–Vic Falls road. Just further on is its rudimentary Tuskers Campsite, and beyond that its more wild, but luxurious unfenced Khulu Ivory lodge.
