Madison

Washington, DC

The Madison has hosted every US president since JFK. The attractive rooms are midsized, with silver-gray walls, fluffy white beds, a sturdy work desk and wingback chair to relax in. Alas, the rooms aren't very soundproof. As a side note, the Madison is supposedly the first hotel in the world to have introduced the minibar – thanks, guys.

The hotel has bounced around between corporate owners in recent years. It became a Hilton property in late 2017.
