The jazzy, 343-room Liaison draws a mix of business types and tourists. Modernist rooms come in a stately, slate-to-earth tone color palette; they feel the right mix of corporate and playful. That said, the seasonal rooftop is all the latter: there's trippy house music and a pool that seems perpetually occupied by attractive folks. And it's all within spitting distance of the Capitol.
