Middlebury Inn

Directly opposite the town green, this inn's fine old main building (1827) has beautifully restored formal public rooms and charming guest rooms with all the modern conveniences. The adjacent Porter Mansion, with Victorian-style rooms, is also full of attractive architectural details. Lower-priced units in the motel-like modern annex out back are considerably less appealing.
