Hotel Jerome

Aspen

Superb service and relaxed elegance are trademarks at this historic hotel. A long-time favorite with Aspen’s old-money crowd, the Jerome occupies a landmarked 1889 brick building constructed during Colorado’s silver heyday, in addition to the adjacent historic Aspen Times building, which it began renovating in 2017. Rooms are individually decorated with period antiques, double-marble vanities and baths with oversized tubs.

Beds feature lots of pillows and fluffy, feather-down comforters for cold winter nights. If you just want to enjoy the view, sink into one of the armchairs facing Aspen Mountain. The hotel also has a great bar and lobby, where a hand-carved fireplace is the centerpiece and guests dine on fish and game served by friendly waiters. A new underground speakeasy is part of the current renovation project.

Those interested in the building's storied history can sign up for a tour with the Aspen Historical Society.
