One of Rhode Island's most delightful swimming holes can be found in this conservation area, which features a massive lagoon bounded by barrier beaches and fed by freshwater springs. Between the lagoon and the Atlantic, the 2.5-mile-long East Beach, fringed by biking and walking trails, is a great spot to drop a hook and catch some flounder. The Ninigret Wildlife Refuge here shelters deer and birds.
