Waterfront Museum

New York City

The former Lehigh Valley Railroad Barge #79 was rescued from its partially submerged state under the George Washington Bridge and painstakingly restored to begin a new life as a floating museum. The only surviving example of a Hudson River wooden barge, it now houses nautical miscellany and items from Red Hook history, as well as occasionally hosting exhibits and events.

It's not a huge attraction, but sufficiently unique to be interesting.
