The Davis Theater in Chicago's Lincoln Square was recently renovated, but the iconic sign remains.

Davis Theater

Chicago

Thanks to a renovation, the century-old Davis has burnished its deco charm while adding modern amenities such as stadium seating and state-of-the-art sound. The first-run theater also attached a bar-restaurant called Carbon Arc, named after the carbon arc lamps in old film projectors, serving fancy snacks (Thai mussels, duck-and-bean stew) and craft beers that you can take into the movie.
