Neighborhood families, hungover hipsters and old timers clamber into the booths at this traditional-looking diner in Grandview, 4 miles northwest of downtown. They order off the doughnut list (the doussant, a doughnut-croissant hybrid, requires sampling), then move on to the biscuits and gravy, corned beef hash and cheese-plumped omelets. DK even serves alcohol if you need some hair of the dog.
