Café Intermezzo

Atlanta

This European-style cafe has given Atlantans a dose of high-society class since 1971. The austere atmosphere, punctuated by crystal chandeliers and turn-of-the-century decor, evokes storied Viennese haunts; and both the packed pastry case (three-layer orange torte, tres leches, Italian cream torte!) and 40-page beverage menu overwhelm – but in a good way.

It remains a special place for posttheater dessert.
