La Chambre Bleue

Top choice in Tunisia

Owners Sondos Belhassen and Marouane Ben Miled are understandably proud of their charming house located deep in a residential quarter of the medina. Helpful and welcoming hosts, they offer one huge, magnificently decorated suite in the 19th-century upstairs section of the building and a second contemporary-chic room in the 12th-century stables below. The freshly made breakfasts include local pastries and home-made jams.

A third, self-contained studio was due to open in the stables some time in 2018 and will be offered to longer-stay guests.
