The floor-to-ceiling wall of beautiful calligraphy labelled bottles is proof of Hanakaruta's dedication to premium Japanese booze. Sake and shōchū (strong distilled alcohol often made from potatoes or rice) are specialities here, but the house-made umeshu (plum wine) is also a winner. There's a menu of bar snacks (from 60B to 680B) that, like the drinks, is served with Japanese efficiency.
