Not the newest but arguably Dushanbe's top address weaves traditional colours, fabrics and woodwork into a bright 21st-century tower topped by a rooftop swimming pool. The spacious rooms with mountain views sport tribal rugs and local ceramics and there's an excellent shop selling similar crafts. With a garden and extensive nightly buffet, this good-value central hotel is a winner.
