Hotel Poytakht

Large, central and a period piece of Soviet architecture and design, glorious stained glass windows bring a touch of dazzle to this otherwise tired, old warrior of a hotel. There's a certain 1970s charm about the comfortable, air-conditioned mini-suites but the amenities are decidedly dated and the rooms looked after by fearsome floor ladies who guard the keys.
