Sixty simple, spacious rooms on a quiet street not far from Taichung train station. The '60s building used to house a chamber of commerce and has been done up in a more or less art deco style. The reception staff's service is cavalier by Taiwan standards.
From Taichung Train Station, go straight on Zhongshan Rd then turn left at Shifu Rd.
