Run by two brothers, Hotel Royal has rooms spread over a historic 16th-century building and its modern counterpart. While the rooms are generally small, functional and uninspiring, they are comfortable, clean and can be very good value. The property includes a sauna and is within walking distance of Malmö's Centralstationen. On the downside, soundproofing isn't always great; light sleepers should bring earplugs.
