Hotel Sardinero Madrid

There's lots to like at this charming hotel, from the location that's as handy for untouristy Chamberí as it is for everything else in Madrid to the large and stylish rooms with muted colours and supremely comfortable everything. The 24-hour gym is ideal for those with jet lag, although we found the Library Cocktail Bar to be just as effective. Travellers love the personal service, too.
