Bar Santurce

This basic bar is famous for its sardinas a la plancha (sardines cooked on the grill) and pimientos de padrón (fiery green peppers). It's wildly popular on Sundays during El Rastro market when it can be difficult to even get near the bar. The ración (serve) of sardines for €3.60 is Madrid's best bargain.
