Claudio: La Feria del Jamón

Bilbao

A creaky old place full of ancient furnishings, Claudio has scarcely changed since it opened in 1948. As you'll guess from the name and the hams hanging from the ceiling, it's all about pigs, including lomo (air-dried pork loin), morcilla (blood sausage), chorizo, and salchichón (smoked sausage), accompanied by local cheeses and wines. Opposite the bar is a shop selling hams.
