Arguably La Boqueria's most brilliant tapas bar, standing strong since 1940. Ever-charming owner Juanito Bayén serves up superb Catalan classics: chickpeas with pine nuts and raisins, cargols (snails), smoky escalivada (grilled vegetables), soft baby squid with cannellini beans, or a quivering cube of caramel-sweet pork belly. Long-running and unpretentious, Pinotxo is also famous for its forquilles (traditional cooked breakfasts). Arrive early!
