Bar del Pi

La Rambla & Barri Gòtic

A welcome slice of old Barcelona in the thick of the Barri Gòtic, this friendly (admittedly touristed) split-level cafe-bar has been powering on since the 1920s and is now run by the fourth generation of the same family. Check-print floors, marble-topped tables and mirrors behind the bar create a traditional feel, while tapas (€2 to €5) include refreshingly fuss-free tortilla.
