Hostal Grau

El Raval

A family hostal started in the 1860s, now thoughtfully reimagined, this 'small, urban, green' hideaway retains its original twirling tiled staircase but has chic, sparkling-white rooms with organic materials and other ecoconscious touches like timed lights. The design is calming and minimalist, with pops of colour and original decorative pieces. Some rooms have street-facing balconies; others overlook a vertical garden.

There are also three similarly stylish self-catering apartments sleeping four to six people.
