Front of the Fàbrica del Sol

Fàbrica del Sol

Barcelona

A relic from the industrial era, this striking Modernista building with its red brick and yellow details today houses an environmental education centre, with exhibitions on sustainable energy sources. You can wander around the building (and check out the solar panels on the roof), though all signage is in Catalan or Spanish. It was closed for renovations at the time of research and expected to reopen in spring 2018.
