This peaceful retreat occupies a grand, turquoise-blue casa de indianos (mansion built with money earned in the Americas) on a hillside 12km west of Ribadesella. Six spacious and comfortable rooms, some of them overlooking the sprawling, flowery grounds, are complemented by a lovely, enclosed sun porch where breakfasts are served.
Follow the A8 west of Ribadesella to the Caravia exit, then climb southwest 1km into the hills on the N632. You'll soon spot the hotel's unmistakable blue-green facade high above the roadway on your left; signs point the way from Caravia's town centre.
