Gijón’s parador (state-owned luxury hotel) has a beautiful, tranquil setting inside a revamped watermill amid plenty of greenery, 2km southeast of Cimavilla. Rooms are classy and comfy, with floral curtains, varnished-wood floors and all the usual parador trimmings.
