Mbotyi River Lodge, a low-key resort at the river mouth, has thatched rooms and a cluster of log cabins overlooking the beach and lagoon. Numerous activities can be arranged, including horse riding, hiking trails, canoeing and visits to the area's many waterfalls. Not all rooms have air-con. No wi-fi.
